Processing and use
Processing
- Fibre orientation, volume fraction, void content, cure state and defects must be recorded with every property dataset.
- Laminate properties cannot be inferred from fibre and resin properties alone.
Applications
- Lightweight panels and shells
- Primary or secondary structures
- Energy-absorbing or corrosion-resistant components
Selection considerations
- Treat this as a material-system reference, not a universal laminate allowables set.
- Check open-hole, compression-after-impact, environmental and joint behaviour for structural use.

Supply and sustainability
Available as prepreg, dry reinforcement, moulding compound or consolidated panel depending on system.
Long service life and mass reduction can be valuable, while separation and recycling remain system dependent.
Strategic context
Enables high specific stiffness, tailored anisotropy and multi-functional structures.
