Conditions
Condition A / solution treated
Solution-treated precursor condition.
H1025
Intermediate ageing condition balancing strength and toughness.
H1150
Overaged condition used where toughness and stress-corrosion resistance are prioritised.
H900
Peak-strength precipitation-hardened condition.

Processing and use
Processing
- Solution treatment followed by condition-specific aging establishes final properties.
- Additive material requires route-specific porosity, anisotropy and heat-treatment qualification.
Applications
- Shafts and fasteners
- Valves and pump components
- Aerospace fittings
- Tooling and structural parts
Selection considerations
- H900 maximizes strength but higher aging temperatures generally improve toughness and SCC resistance.
- Long exposure near aging temperatures can alter properties.
